Prized for its dazzling high-speed runs and acrobatics the Silver or Coho Salmon puts up a tremendous fight and weighs in at an average 12-24 pounds. Alaska Silver Salmon or Coho has been called the greatest Alaska sport fish. The State of Alaska sport fishing record is 26 pounds. The Coho also has an important place in Alaska subsistence and commercial fisheries.
